There are different defense mechanisms according to intensity of psychological effect and identified causes. My favorite is when people tend to elevate their sense of importance and excellence a little too high despite blatant evidences that slap all people around. I wish to understand them more. Move a little closer and dive into their sea of personality.

Since the death penalty was lifted from the Revised Penal Code, people nowadays commit more crimes for penalties are just fines and imprisonment. There should be an element of fear. Those who are deemed guilty of a crime by judicial subdivisions should be subjected to mild to maximum torture — from mindf*cking to grotesque physical torture. For that note, fear of being tortured will crawl onto the integument of people and thereby reducing crime rate.
